Job Overview

The Railway Infrastructure Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major rail infrastructure projects, including track upgrades, signaling systems, station renovations, and new line constructions. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the incumbent will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. This role is central to NRZ’s ambition to modernise the rail corridor, improve service reliability, and support the country’s trade corridors. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping project strategies, overseeing procurement, and driving continuous improvement across all phases of project delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for rail infrastructure initiatives.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including engineers, contractors, procurement specialists, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and private partners to secure permits and align project objectives.

Required Skills

• Strong project management expertise with proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience managing railway or large‑scale transportation infrastructure projects. Experience with public‑private partnership (PPP) models, international standards, and multi‑stakeholder environments is strongly preferred.

Salary
