Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the complex movement of cargo between the port of Beira and various inland destinations across Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end movement of import and export containers via the Beira Corridor.
• Manage relationships with shipping lines, port operators, and clearing agents to ensure priority handling of cargo.
• Monitor vessel schedules and coordinate inland transport to prevent port congestion and minimize storage fees.
• Ensure full compliance with Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) and international maritime regulations.
• Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks in the corridor and implement corrective action plans.
• Prepare detailed reports on transit times, cost per TEU, and carrier performance for senior management.
• Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-efficiency.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Incoterms 2020 and international shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Manifests).
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of reducing logistics overheads.
• Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and advanced data analysis tools.

Education
