Job Overview
The Corporate Treasury Analyst will be responsible for managing daily cash flows, optimizing liquidity, and supporting the execution of treasury strategies that align with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Treasury Manager, finance partners, and external banking partners to ensure seamless cash management, foreign exchange operations, and investment activities. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and forecast daily cash positions across all business units to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Execute foreign exchange transactions, manage currency risk, and maintain compliance with internal policies.
- Prepare and analyze treasury reports, including cash flow statements, liquidity ratios, and risk metrics.
- Support the Treasury Manager in developing short‑term investment strategies and managing short‑term funding.
- Liaise with external banks and financial institutions to negotiate terms, manage relationships, and resolve settlement issues.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines set by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and internal risk frameworks.
- Assist in the implementation of treasury management systems and automation tools.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at improving cash management processes and enhancing financial controls.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modeling and cash flow analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of treasury operations, foreign exchange markets, and liquidity management.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with treasury management software is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or a similar finance function within a banking or large corporate environment. Experience with Zimbabwean banking regulations and the local financial market is highly valued.
Salary
The remuneration package ranges from SSP 300,000 to SSP 500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and other incentives aligned with the bank’s goals.
