Job Overview

AECOM Zimbabwe is seeking a Smart Urban Mobility Analyst to lead the design and implementation of sustainable transportation solutions in Insiza. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze urban mobility models using GIS and transportation simulation tools
  • Design sustainable transportation networks that prioritize public transit, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to implement smart traffic management systems
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new mobility projects, including cost-benefit analyses and environmental impact assessments
  • Integrate real-time data analytics to monitor and improve urban transportation efficiency
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in transportation planning software (e.g., PTV Visum, TransCAD)
  • Experience with urban mobility data analysis and visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of sustainable urban development principles
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional team collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Shona/Ndebele) is an advantage

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Urban Development or Smart Cities is preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in urban mobility planning or transportation engineering
  • Proven track record in designing sustainable transportation solutions
  • Experience working with municipal governments or urban development agencies

Salary

150,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
