Job Overview
The Solar Energy Consultant will design, implement, and optimize solar energy systems tailored to client needs. This role involves conducting feasibility studies, analyzing energy consumption patterns, and ensuring compliance with national and international renewable energy standards. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainability and technological advancement in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and energy audits to determine solar energy requirements.
- Design and engineer solar power systems using industry-standard software tools.
- Collaborate with clients to develop customized renewable energy solutions.
- Monitor system performance and provide technical support for maintenance and upgrades.
- Prepare detailed project reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging solar technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Expertise in photovoltaic (PV) system design and installation.
- Strong analytical skills for energy consumption modeling.
- Proficiency in CAD software and energy simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical challenges.
- Knowledge of Zimbabwean energy regulations and certifications.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science. Advanced certifications in solar energy (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar energy systems. Prior experience in project management or consulting is preferred.
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
