Job Overview
The Hydropower Plant Operations Technician will play a critical role in the daily functioning and maintenance of our hydroelectric assets. This position is essential for ensuring that power generation remains consistent, efficient, and safe. You will be responsible for monitoring complex control systems, performing routine inspections of turbines and generators, and responding to technical anomalies to prevent downtime. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control turbine and generator operations using advanced SCADA systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct regular inspections of dam structures, spillways, and penstocks to ensure integrity.
- Analyze performance data to optimize water usage and power output efficiency.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement system upgrades and retrofits.
- Maintain detailed logs of all operational activities and equipment performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Respond to emergency alarms and troubleshoot system failures in real-time.

Education

Salary
