Job Overview

The Regional Logistics Solutions Manager will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end‑to‑end logistics solutions for DHL’s Marondera operations and its surrounding service area. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, customers, and external partners to ensure seamless freight movement, cost efficiency, and high service standards. This position is pivotal in driving operational excellence, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting DHL’s mission to be the logistics provider of choice in the region. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies that improve delivery speed, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness across the Marondera region.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of planners, coordinators, and field staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to service level agreements.
• Analyze transportation data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to design customized logistics solutions that meet client requirements and drive revenue growth.
• Manage relationships with third‑party carriers, customs authorities, and local suppliers to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
• Oversee the implementation of technology platforms, such as warehouse management systems and route optimization tools, to enhance operational visibility.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports, KPI dashboards, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout all logistics activities.

Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation planning, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience within a multinational logistics firm or exposure to international freight operations is highly preferred.

Salary
