Job Overview

The Production Planning Supervisor will lead the planning function for Delta’s Kwekwe bottling plant, ensuring optimal use of resources, adherence to production schedules, and alignment with market demand. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, logistics, and sales teams to develop realistic master production plans, monitor execution, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain weekly and monthly master production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components.
• Monitor production performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet on‑time delivery targets.
• Lead a team of planners, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure that production plans comply with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on production efficiency, inventory turnover, and cost variances.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance planning accuracy and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate documentation of planning processes, SOPs, and change management records.

Required Skills

Education
