Job Overview
The E-Learning Content Developer will design, develop, and deliver interactive online learning materials for ZOU’s diverse academic programs. This role is critical in ensuring ZOU maintains its reputation for excellence in digital education. The position requires collaboration with academic staff, instructional designers, and technical teams to create engaging, learner-centered e-learning resources that meet pedagogical standards and institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop e-learning modules, course materials, and multimedia content using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools.
- Collaborate with faculty to translate curriculum requirements into interactive digital learning experiences.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in existing e-learning resources and propose improvements.
- Integrate multimedia elements (videos, animations, quizzes) to enhance learner engagement and comprehension.
- Evaluate e-learning content effectiveness through analytics and feedback, making data-driven adjustments.
- Stay updated on emerging e-learning technologies and best practices in instructional design.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM) and e-learning development tools (Articulate 360, Camtasia).
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and pedagogical strategies for online education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas) and content management systems.
- Creativity in designing visually appealing and interactive learning materials.
- Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical and pedagogical challenges.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in e-learning or educational technology is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in e-learning content development, preferably in higher education or corporate training environments. Experience in designing courses for open and distance learning is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary of 150,000 – 200,000 SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
