Job Overview

The Digital Learning Platform Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable e-learning platforms tailored for K-12 and higher education institutions. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional passionate about leveraging digital tools to transform education in Zimbabwe. The position is based in Mudzi, a growing hub for educational innovation in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize interactive e-learning modules using LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas).
  • Collaborate with educators to integrate AI-driven personalized learning tools.
  • Ensure platforms are accessible, user-friendly, and compliant with global education standards.
  • Conduct training sessions for teachers and students on platform usage.
  • Monitor system performance and implement security protocols to protect user data.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based education platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Fluency in Shona or Ndebele is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications in e-learning development or instructional design are advantageous.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in educational technology or software development.
  • Proven track record in designing digital learning solutions.

Salary

150,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
