Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Systems Specialist to join our team in Nyanga, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This will include designing and implementing digital platforms for data collection, analysis, and visualization, as well as developing and maintaining digital tools for forest monitoring and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement digital platforms for data collection, analysis, and visualization
- Develop and maintain digital tools for forest monitoring and management
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement digital solutions for forestry and conservation efforts
- Provide training and support to colleagues on the use of digital tools and platforms
Required Skills:
- Strong technical skills in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with digital platforms and tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry or conservation
Salary: 8000-12000 SSP per month
