Job Overview
We are seeking a Digital Forestry Systems Specialist to join our team in Lupane, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to our mission to protect the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement digital systems
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
- Provide technical support and training to staff and partners
Required Skills
- Strong technical skills in digital systems development and implementation
- Experience working with forestry and conservation data and systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Fluency in English and Shona languages
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in digital systems development and implementation, preferably in a forestry or conservation context
Salary
SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per annum
