Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Forestry Systems Specialist to join our team in Hwange, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts.

The Digital Forestry Systems Specialist will work closely with our forestry and conservation teams to design and implement digital systems that support sustainable forest management, monitoring, and conservation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the protection of Zimbabwe’s natural resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
  • Design and implement digital systems for sustainable forest management, monitoring, and conservation
  • Work closely with forestry and conservation teams to ensure effective implementation of digital solutions
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forestry and conservation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities

Required Skills

  • Strong technical skills in digital systems development and implementation
  • Experience in forestry and conservation, with a focus on digital solutions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
