Job Overview
The Environmental Compliance Officer will ensure all operations adhere to national and international environmental regulations. This role is pivotal in maintaining Cairn Energy’s commitment to sustainability and minimizing ecological impact. Candidates will join a dynamic team dedicated to balancing energy production with environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws and company policies.
- Conduct audits of operational sites to assess environmental impact.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives for energy projects.
- Collaborate with local authorities on environmental permitting and reporting.
- Train staff on eco-friendly practices and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Expertise in environmental regulations (Zimbabwean and international).
- Strong analytical skills for impact assessments.
- Proficiency in sustainability software and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication for stakeholder engagement.
- Problem-solving in high-pressure energy sector environments.
Education

- Experience in oil/gas or mining industries advantageous.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
