Job Overview
This role focuses on optimizing Nestlé’s supply chain operations to reduce environmental impact while maintaining efficiency. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable sourcing strategies, monitor supplier compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards, and develop metrics to track sustainability performance. The position is based in Kwekwe, a key logistics hub in Zimbabwe.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct lifecycle assessments of supply chain processes to identify sustainability improvements
- Develop and implement supplier sustainability scorecards and audit protocols
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source eco-friendly materials and packaging
- Monitor carbon footprint and resource usage across supply chain operations
- Prepare sustainability reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
Required Skills
- Proficiency in supply chain analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau)
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management standards
- Experience with circular economy principles and waste reduction strategies
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluency in data visualization and sustainability reporting frameworks
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related discipline. Advanced degrees (MSc/MA) in Sustainability or Environmental Policy preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain sustainability roles, with a proven track record in implementing ESG initiatives. Experience in FMCG or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
Salary
180,000 – 280,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
