Job Overview

The Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydro initiatives, across Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage end‑to‑end renewable energy project plans, ensuring alignment with ZESA’s strategic objectives and national energy policies.
  • Lead feasibility studies, resource assessments, and financial modelling to evaluate project viability and secure funding.
  • Coordinate design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Engage with government regulators, local authorities, and community stakeholders to obtain permits, address concerns, and foster supportive relationships.
  • Monitor project performance, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and external partners.
  • Mentor junior engineers and project staff, promoting knowledge transfer and capacity building within the Project Management department.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record of delivering complex renewable energy projects.
  • Expertise in project finance, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • In‑depth knowledge of solar, wind, and hydro technologies, as well as local regulatory frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and financial modelling tools.

Education
