Key Job Duties and Responsibilities (JD)
The Fundraising Intern will work closely with the Program Coordinator and other stakeholders to support fundraising and program implementation activities.
Donor Research & Fundraising Support
- Conduct donor mapping and research to identify funding opportunities aligned with AFSC priorities in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
- Research institutional donors, foundations, CSOs, and INGOs whose values align with peacebuilding, migration, and social justice.
- Update and maintain fundraising plans and donor databases.
- Assist in identifying strategic funding partnerships.
Grant Writing & Proposal Development
- Support the drafting of high-quality concept notes and grant proposals.
- Gather and organize supporting documentation for funding applications.
- Assist in tracking grant submission deadlines and donor reporting schedules.
- Prepare evidence-based program write-ups and updates.
Partnership Development
- Identify and profile Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) for partnership opportunities.
- Create and maintain partnership databases.
- Research organizations working in migration, peacebuilding, and displacement.
