Job Overview

This role focuses on integrating technology into educational frameworks to enhance learning outcomes. The specialist will collaborate with educators, IT teams, and policymakers to design and implement digital tools aligned with national curriculum standards. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in both pedagogical strategies and emerging EdTech platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs for teachers on educational software and hardware
  • Design interactive digital content for K-12 and tertiary education institutions
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in current educational technology systems
  • Partner with local governments to align digital learning initiatives with national education policies
  • Evaluate and recommend EdTech tools for classroom integration

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in LMS platforms (Moodle, Google Classroom)
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Captivate)
  • Strong understanding of Zimbabwean education standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Data analysis skills for educational outcomes evaluation

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Computer Science
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required

Experience

  • 3-5 years in educational technology or curriculum development
  • Proven experience in EdTech implementation in African contexts

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
