Job Overview

The Digital Payments Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of FBC Bank’s digital payment products, including mobile wallets, QR‑code payments, and API‑based merchant solutions. Reporting to the Head of Digital Banking, the role involves market research, product strategy, cross‑functional collaboration, and performance monitoring to ensure products meet customer needs and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and go‑to‑market strategy for digital payment solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer research to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, and marketing teams to deliver product features on time and within budget.
  • Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and oversee agile sprint cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe regulations, AML/KYC policies, and data security standards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, transaction volume, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop pricing models, promotional campaigns, and partnership strategies with merchants and fintech partners.
  • Prepare product documentation, user guides, and training materials for internal stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of digital payments ecosystems, mobile money, and fintech trends in Africa.
  • Proven product management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data and translate insights into product enhancements.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing electronic payments in Zimbabwe.
  • Agile methodology experience and proficiency with tools such as JIRA or Trello.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in product management (e.g., AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute) or fintech are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five years of product management experience, with at least two years focused on digital payments, mobile wallets, or related financial technology solutions. Experience working within a regulated banking environment is highly desirable.

Salary

The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 600,000 to SSP 900,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and profit‑sharing schemes are also part of the compensation package.
