Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team in Karoi, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data centre, ensuring that all systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the data centre, including power and cooling systems, network infrastructure, and security.
- Ensure that all systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently, with minimal downtime or disruption.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of data centre operations.
- Collaborate with other teams, including engineering, network operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data centre operations, including power usage, cooling efficiency, and network uptime.
Required Skills:
- 8-12 years of experience in data centre operations, with a focus on power and cooling systems, network infrastructure, and security.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and cooling systems.
- Experience with data centre management software, including monitoring and control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
