Job Overview
As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Microsoft Zimbabwe, you will join a dynamic Information Security team responsible for safeguarding the organization’s assets, customers, and partners against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms to detect and analyze potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation steps.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to implement security controls and hardening measures.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threat trends, attack vectors, and industry best practices.
- Assist in compliance audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR and local data protection laws.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees across all departments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) and log analysis.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts, especially within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
Education
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with equivalent professional experience combined with recognized certifications will also be considered.
Experience

Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 300,000 to SSP 500,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
