Job Overview

The Agricultural Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Bokomo’s growth trajectory within the Masvingo region and beyond. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the incumbent will identify and cultivate new market opportunities, develop strategic alliances with farmers, distributors, and retail chains, and lead initiatives that enhance the company’s product portfolio and market share. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities across the agricultural value chain, focusing on crop producers, input suppliers, and retail distributors.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive market entry strategies that increase Bokomo’s footprint in target regions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmer cooperatives, government agencies, and private sector partners.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and feasibility studies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, joint ventures, and partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align product development, pricing, and distribution strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and present insights to senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.

Education

Experience

A minimum of five years of relevant experience in agribusiness development, sales, or market expansion is required. Experience working with farmer cooperatives, agritech solutions, or in a similar role within the Zimbabwean or Southern African agricultural sector will be given priority.

Salary
