Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, containment, and eradication of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malware infections.
  • Conduct deep-dive forensic investigations into security incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated incident response playbooks and automated containment workflows.
  • Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to integrate real-time indicators of compromise (IoCs) into our monitoring systems.
  • Perform continuous vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts across various cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Provide expert-level guidance to junior security analysts and lead post-incident review meetings.
  • Document all security incidents and response actions in detailed technical reports for executive leadership.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in network traffic analysis using tools like Wireshark, Zeek, or Suricata.
  • Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation of security tasks.
  • Deep understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and how to map adversary behaviors.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR) and SIEM technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and the ability to remain calm under intense pressure during active breaches.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for documenting complex security events.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) or a high-level incident response role.
