Job Overview
This role involves designing, developing, and implementing digital health systems tailored to Zimbabwe’s healthcare landscape. The ideal candidate will collaborate with medical professionals, IT specialists, and government stakeholders to create interoperable platforms that enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline patient data management, and support telemedicine services. This position is critical for advancing Zimbabwe’s digital health agenda and aligns with national goals for universal healthcare coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain digital health platforms, including electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify system requirements and optimize workflows.
- Ensure compliance with international health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Integrate AI-driven diagnostic tools and remote monitoring solutions into existing healthcare infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on digital systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in health IT systems (EHR, EMR) and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with medical data standards and cybersecurity protocols.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating healthcare system performance.
- Knowledge of Zimbabwe’s healthcare regulatory framework.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Healthcare Informatics. Advanced certifications in health systems integration (e.g., AHIMA, HIMSS) are advantageous.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in healthcare technology development, preferably in emerging markets. Prior projects involving digital health solutions for public or private healthcare sectors are preferred.
Salary
250,000 – 400,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
