Job Overview

Cotton Plus Zimbabwe is seeking a dynamic Textile Innovation and Sustainable Manufacturing Specialist to drive the development of eco-friendly textile production methods. This role will focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies with sustainable practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with global environmental standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative textile solutions that align with the company’s mission of sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable manufacturing processes for textile production.
  • Conduct research on eco-friendly materials and technologies to improve product quality and reduce environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to source sustainable raw materials.
  • Monitor and optimize energy and water usage in manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams on sustainable practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in sustainable manufacturing or textile engineering.
  • Strong understanding of environmental sustainability principles.
  • Proficiency in process optimization and waste reduction strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 or similar environmental management standards.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Sustainable Manufacturing, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in sustainability are a plus.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in textile manufacturing, sustainability, or a combination of both. Experience in Zimbabwe’s textile or agricultural sectors is highly advantageous.

Salary

80,000 – 120,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
