Job Overview

This role is part of UNICEF’s initiative to expand digital literacy across rural Zimbabwe. The Digital Literacy Program Coordinator will design, implement, and monitor technology-driven educational programs for schools and community centers in Kadoma. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and educational strategy to ensure equitable access to digital resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver digital literacy training modules for teachers, students, and community members.
• Collaborate with local schools and NGOs to identify technology needs and integrate digital tools into curricula.
• Coordinate partnerships with tech companies to secure hardware, software, and internet access for program participants.
• Monitor program impact through data collection and reporting to stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for digital infrastructure in partner institutions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in educational technology platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Moodle).
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience in curriculum development with a focus on digital skills.
• Fluency in both English and Shona/Sinhalese.
• Knowledge of UNICEF’s mission and child-focused programming principles.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree in Digital Education or Public Administration is an asset.

Experience

3-5 years in educational program management, digital technology implementation, or community development. Experience working in rural or underserved areas is preferred.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
