Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes for municipal and industrial clients
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Monitor system performance and implement energy-efficient upgrades
- Prepare technical reports and present solutions to stakeholders
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software
- Knowledge of biological and chemical wastewater treatment methods
- Strong analytical skills for water quality testing and data interpretation
- Experience with SCADA systems for plant automation
- Excellent communication for cross-departmental collaboration
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in wastewater treatment system design or operations
- Previous projects in sub-Saharan Africa strongly advantageous
Salary
250,000 – 400,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and project impact.
