Job Overview
This role is pivotal in optimizing Vodacom’s telecom networks to ensure maximum performance, scalability, and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Design and implement network enhancements to improve coverage, capacity, and speed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure service reliability.
- Conduct regular audits of network configurations and recommend upgrades.
- Prepare detailed reports on network performance and optimization outcomes.
- Stay updated on emerging telecom technologies and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, NetMon).
- Strong understanding of 4G/5G network architecture and protocols.
- Experience with KPI analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or certifications (e.g., Cisco, Huawei) is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years in telecom network optimization, preferably within a fast-paced, large-scale network environment. Experience with Vodacom or similar providers is advantageous.
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 SSP/month, commensurate with experience and performance.
