Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Supply Chain Procurement Officer to join our growing team in Ganta, Liberia. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our local operations have the necessary resources, equipment, and services to maintain seamless logistics operations. The successful candidate will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize procurement processes to reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for various operational requirements in the Ganta region.
• Identify, vet, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers to ensure a steady supply of goods and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to achieve maximum cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Maersk’s global standards.
• Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to forecast demand and prevent supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with company and local regulatory requirements.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the logistics, shipping, or heavy manufacturing sectors. Proven track record of managing complex vendor relationships and optimizing procurement workflows.

Salary

The offered salary for this position is between 45,000 SSP and 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
