Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Wildlife Conservation Biologist to lead our field research initiatives in the Sanniquie region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale biodiversity assessments and population monitoring for endangered species within protected areas.
• Design and implement robust ecological research protocols to track habitat changes and species migration patterns.
• Supervise and mentor a team of field technicians, local researchers, and community volunteers.
• Analyze complex biological datasets to produce high-quality scientific reports for international stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Liberia Forestry Development Authority (LFDA) to integrate research findings into national policy.
• Develop community-based conservation programs that align ecological needs with local socio-economic development.
• Manage field equipment, research budgets, and logistical requirements for remote expeditions.

Required Skills

• Advanced expertise in population modeling and statistical analysis using R or Python.
• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial ecological analysis.

Education

Experience

A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in field-based ecological research is required. Proven experience in managing large-scale conservation projects and leading multidisciplinary teams in West Africa or similar tropical environments is highly preferred. Salary
