Job Overview

The Senior Market Research Analyst will lead comprehensive research projects that inform client strategies, product development and policy decisions. Reporting to the Head of Research & Insights, you will design methodologies, oversee data collection, analyze trends and present actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research studies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews and observational research.
  • Develop research frameworks, sampling plans and data collection instruments tailored to client objectives.
  • Analyze large datasets using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) to uncover patterns, correlations and predictive insights.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards and visual presentations that translate complex findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—consulting, audit, tax—to integrate research insights into broader advisory solutions.
  • Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on methodology, data quality and analytical techniques.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging research technologies and regulatory changes affecting the Zimbabwean market.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring research deliverables meet expectations and timelines.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior executives.
  • Project management expertise, including budgeting, timeline management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to translate data into strategic insights.
  • Knowledge of Zimbabwe’s economic landscape, consumer behavior and sector‑specific dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Sociology or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, PRC) are considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants must have 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in market research, consumer insights, or consulting, preferably within the African context. Experience leading multi‑disciplinary projects and managing client relationships is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 300,000 to SSP 500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the remuneration structure.
