Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments for new and existing insurance products.
  • Develop and maintain risk models, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor key risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and finance teams to embed risk considerations into pricing and product design.
  • Prepare risk analysis reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe guidelines.
  • Identify emerging risks, including market, credit, operational, and cyber threats, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support the implementation of risk mitigation initiatives and track their effectiveness over time.
  • Participate in internal audit and external regulatory examinations, providing required documentation and explanations.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with proficiency in Excel, VBA, and risk modeling software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey complex risk concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Zimbabwean financial regulations, insurance standards, and Basel III principles.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality.

Education

Experience
