Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostic troubleshooting on complex hydraulic systems using specialized pressure gauges and electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and control valves to prevent unexpected failures.
  • Execute precision repairs on high-pressure hydraulic lines, hoses, and fittings to ensure system integrity and safety.
  • Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and hydraulic circuit diagrams to identify system faults and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to optimize hydraulic performance and implement system upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed service logs and maintenance records for all assigned heavy equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with Caterpillar’s safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing high-pressure hydraulic systems and fluid power components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic and mechanical schematics.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related engineering discipline. Alternatively, advanced technical certifications in Hydraulic Systems Technology from a recognized vocational institution will be considered if accompanied by extensive field experience.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial hydraulic systems is required. Proven experience working with large-scale mining or construction equipment is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of working in demanding field environments and managing complex technical troubleshooting tasks.

Salary

The offered salary range for this position is 45,000 to 65,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
