Job Overview

Schneider Electric Zimbabwe seeks an Energy Efficiency Auditor to evaluate energy consumption patterns in industrial and commercial facilities. This role will identify opportunities to reduce energy waste, improve operational efficiency, and align with national sustainability goals. The auditor will collaborate with clients to implement cost-effective energy-saving solutions while adhering to international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits for industrial, commercial, and public sector clients.
  • Analyze energy consumption data using tools like EnergyPlus and eQuest.
  • Prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement energy-saving projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of energy efficiency initiatives post-implementation.
  • Provide training and technical support to clients on sustainable energy practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in energy auditing, with a focus on industrial or commercial settings.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of energy regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 50001).
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel to audit sites across Zimbabwe.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Energy Management.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Sustainable Energy or related fields are advantageous.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in energy auditing, sustainability consulting, or energy management.
  • Experience working with energy efficiency projects in Zimbabwe or Southern Africa is preferred.

Salary

250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
