Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Systems Specialist to join our team in Karoi, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital forestry systems to support our conservation efforts. This will involve working closely with our forestry team to design and implement digital solutions that enhance our forest management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital forestry systems to support conservation efforts
  • Collaborate with forestry team to design and implement digital solutions
  • Conduct fieldwork to gather data on forest conditions and develop digital models to predict forest growth and health
  • Work with local communities to develop and implement sustainable land-use practices

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of digital forestry systems and their applications in conservation
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
