Job Overview

The Medical Device Quality Assurance Manager will lead the quality assurance function for the production of medical devices at our Zvishavane facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 13485 and local regulatory standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of non‑conformities and corrective actions.
  • Oversee product release procedures, including final inspection, testing, and documentation verification.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs to integrate quality requirements into product design and process development.
  • Manage supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring to ensure component quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and risk‑based thinking.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of global medical device regulations and ensure company compliance.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and local health authority regulations.
  • Proven experience in leading quality assurance teams within the medical device industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, CAPA, and statistical process control.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience
