Job Overview
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead the end‑to‑end sourcing function for raw materials, packaging, and services essential to Bidco’s production lines. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role involves developing sourcing strategies that balance cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability while supporting the company’s growth targets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key commodities, aligning with corporate cost‑saving targets.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify optimal sourcing opportunities.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with local and international suppliers.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance to ensure sourced materials meet product specifications and regulatory standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by integrating environmentally responsible sourcing criteria.
- Prepare and present sourcing reports, savings analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop junior procurement staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture.

Education

The ideal candidate will have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the consumer goods sector, demonstrating a track record of cost reductions, supplier development, and successful contract negotiations.
Salary
Bidco Africa offers a competitive remuneration package ranging from SSP 300,000 to SSP 500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives and annual salary reviews.
