Job Overview

The Logistics Network Planner will design, analyze, and optimize DHL’s freight network across Zimbabwe and the Southern African region. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain network models to assess capacity, cost, and service levels across air, ocean, and road freight.
  • Analyze shipment data to identify bottlenecks, under‑utilized lanes, and opportunities for route consolidation.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align network design with customer demand and market trends.
  • Prepare detailed scenario analyses and business cases for network expansion or redesign.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transit time, on‑time delivery, and cost per kilogram.
  • Support the implementation of technology solutions, including transportation management systems (TMS) and data analytics tools.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on network performance and improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with logistics network design, route optimization, and supply chain modeling.

Education
