Job Overview
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about unraveling cybercrimes through advanced digital forensics techniques. The Digital Forensics Specialist will work alongside cybersecurity experts to investigate breaches, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to enhance organizational security. The position is based in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, and offers opportunities to contribute to national cybersecurity initiatives while collaborating with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth digital forensic investigations to identify, preserve, and analyze cyber threats.
- Utilize forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK) to extract and interpret data from compromised systems.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders, including law enforcement and corporate clients.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to mitigate risks and prevent future breaches.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and adapt investigative methodologies accordingly.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital forensics software and hardware tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks governing digital evidence in Zimbabwe and internationally.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Experience with network forensics and malware analysis.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCFP, GCFA) are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in digital forensics or cybersecurity investigations. Prior experience in law enforcement or corporate security is advantageous.
Salary
8000 – 12000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
