Position Overview
CAFCA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within its wire and cable production facility in Harare. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and are eager to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure operational targets are achieved.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and maintain efficient workflow across production lines.
- Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with established Quality Control standards.
- Lead and motivate production personnel to achieve performance objectives.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requirements.
- Implement workplace Health and Safety procedures and compliance standards.
- Track production output and prepare operational reports.
- Assist with inventory monitoring and raw material utilization.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of production processes and factory operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under production deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in production reporting and documentation.
