Job Overview
Petra High School is seeking a motivated and experienced Teacher to join its academic faculty in Bulawayo. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality classroom instruction, develop engaging lesson plans, and support the academic and personal growth of students.
This role is suitable for an educator who is passionate about teaching, committed to student development, and capable of creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will collaborate with other faculty members to ensure curriculum standards are met and that students achieve strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that meet educational standards.
Develop lesson plans, assignments, presentations, and teaching resources to support student learning.
Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, projects, and classroom participation.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and academic reports.
Provide individual academic support and mentoring to students who require additional guidance.
Create a positive classroom learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and engagement.
Integrate educational technology and digital learning tools into teaching methods.
Participate in curriculum development and academic planning meetings.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
Support extracurricular activities including clubs, academic competitions, and school events.
Contribute to school initiatives that promote student leadership, creativity, and critical thinking.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant subject specialization.
3–5 years of teaching experience in a primary or secondary school environment.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Ability to use digital learning platforms and educational technology tools.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage lesson planning, grading, and student evaluation.
Passion for education and commitment to student success and academic excellence.
Salary & Benefits
