Job Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Unilever Zimbabwe products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance procedures for all product lines.
  • Conduct routine and non‑routine testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished goods using advanced analytical equipment.
  • Analyze test results, identify deviations, and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in line with GMP and ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to troubleshoot quality issues and improve process controls.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with local regulatory bodies and international standards.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports, trend analyses, and documentation for senior management review.
  • Mentor junior QA staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adherence to best practices.
  • Support new product development by providing quality input during formulation, pilot trials, and scale‑up phases.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and food safety regulations applicable in Zimbabwe.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, microbiological testing, and spectrophotometry.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach to quality improvement.
  • Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and quality management software.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Food Scientist (CFS) are advantageous.

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment, preferably in food or personal care products.

Salary
