Job Overview:Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of people in developing countries by improving the productivity and sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Karoi, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable aquaculture projects in Zimbabwe, working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement sustainable aquaculture projects in Zimbabwe, working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainable aquaculture practices and their impact on the environment and local communities.
- Develop and implement training programs for local communities and government agencies on sustainable aquaculture practices.
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and regulations that support sustainable aquaculture practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable aquaculture projects on the environment and local communities.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable aquaculture, preferably in a developing country.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design and implement research projects and analyze data.
Education:
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable aquaculture, preferably in a developing country.
Salary:5000-8000 SSP per month.
