Job Overview
This role involves designing and developing immersive augmented reality experiences for Autodesk’s BIM 360 and Revit platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AR into construction workflows, training modules, and client presentations. The position offers opportunities to shape how Zimbabwean industries adopt spatial computing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AR applications using Unity or Unreal Engine for Autodesk’s construction and design software.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AR features into existing platforms.
- Conduct user testing and refine AR experiences based on feedback.
- Stay updated on AR trends and emerging technologies in the construction and design sectors.
- Prepare technical documentation and training materials for AR tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AR development tools (Unity, Unreal Engine, ARKit/ARCore).
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and construction processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in AR development.
- Portfolio demonstrating AR projects in construction or design contexts.
Salary
150,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
