Job Overview

ABB Group Zimbabwe is seeking an Energy Systems Integration Specialist to design, implement, and optimize renewable energy systems integrated with smart grid technologies. This role is critical in advancing Zimbabwe’s renewable energy infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity between solar, wind, and grid networks. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the integration of renewable energy systems (solar, wind) with smart grid infrastructure.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable energy solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to stakeholders during project execution and maintenance phases.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in energy system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, PSS/E).
  • Experience with smart grid technologies and IoT-enabled energy solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating energy data and optimizing system performance.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and grid integration standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
