Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Multimedia Content Creator to design and produce engaging content for BBC Media Action’s digital platforms. This role will focus on creating video, audio, and visual content that highlights community stories, policy issues, and cultural narratives across Zimbabwe. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with technical expertise to deliver compelling multimedia projects that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video and audio content for online and broadcast platforms.
- Collaborate with journalists and producers to develop multimedia stories aligned with editorial goals.
- Utilize editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Audition) to produce polished content.
- Conduct field research and interviews to gather authentic, culturally relevant material.
- Optimize content for social media, websites, and mobile platforms.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to innovate storytelling techniques.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video/audio editing software and graphic design tools.
- Strong storytelling ability with a focus on visual and auditory impact.
- Experience in both studio and field production environments.
- Knowledge of media ethics and cultural sensitivity in content creation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in multimedia production are advantageous.
Experience
- 2–3 years of professional experience in multimedia content creation.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of digital content (video, audio, graphics).
Salary
150,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
