Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geological surveys and mapping to identify new mineral deposits
- Analyze rock samples and drill core data to assess gold content and ore quality
- Prepare technical reports on geological findings and resource estimates
- Collaborate with mining engineers to design extraction plans
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with mining regulations
- Lead field teams during exploration campaigns
Required Skills
- Proficiency in geological software (e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog)
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting geological data
- Experience with mineral resource estimation techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Economic Geology preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Geologist) advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in mining geology operations
- Proven track record in mineral exploration projects
- Experience in Zimbabwean mining environments preferred
Salary
180,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
